Youth Organizing
AART’s youth leadership programming aims to create a sustainable model that elevates young Black leaders in Milwaukee, providing them with the skills and resources to lead community-driven change. In doing so, we empower young people through structured leadership development, mentorship, and active engagement in community organizing.
Youth Hangout
The Youth Hangouts are vibrant, youth-driven events designed for young people (ages 13-20). Hosted by AART, these gatherings are an opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with AART’s mission and work. Whether you’re looking to build relationships, explore leadership opportunities, or grow and develop skills for campaign organizing, Youth Hangouts are a gateway to making an impact.
“I had a great time at the African American Roundtable yesterday. It was powerful being in a space filled with real conversation, unity, and purpose. I am Grateful for the energy, the people, and the progress being made. Looking forward to what’s next!
The conversations were honest, the energy was inspiring, and the unity in the room reminded me why spaces like this matter so much. I left feeling motivated, informed, and proud to be a part of something that’s about building a better future for us all.”
