What does membership mean?

AART believes our movements need more people. Membership allows us to grow our base and build skills, knowledge, and power for liberation of our people. Our membership program provides a political home for Black people in Milwaukee. We are looking for people to push us forward towards liberation. This work calls us to make shared sacrifices but also brings us shared rewards.

  • Nicole

“I'm in love with AART, primarily because AART's objective is Milwaukee, and I love Milwaukee. I love my city…I am enamored, excited, grateful, and humbled to have this opportunity to connect and let my gift do the work for me.”

  • Monifa

“The staff and members are great, no-judgment people and easy to talk to and work with…AART taught me what a budget looks like for our community. And to support our Black people and make sure we know we have power and rights."
