AART celebrates second Leadership Development Cohort graduates

The African American Roundtable (AART) recently wrapped up its second Leadership Development Cohort of 2021. Fifteen Black leaders successfully completed this cohort focused on the 2022 city budget. Fellows were trained on demands, the city budget process, and how to hold elected officials accountable. They also testified at the budget hearing and mapped out programs they would like to see funded. The graduates are:

  • Alexandria Harper-King

  • Ananna Sellers

  • Constance Crockett

  • Deiva Motley

  • John Larry

  • Jakayla Bridges

  • Justin Johnson

  • Kamila Ahmed

  • Keonte Bishop

  • Mariah Smith

  • Mercedes Woods

  • Pamelina Williams

  • Shanika "Raven" Sutton

  • Yante Turner

  • Zahria Tucker

Special thanks to our guest speakers Jared Knowles and Mary Hooks along with AART staff members for their hard work. We are extraordinarily proud of this second cohort and can't wait to continue to build with them in 2022.
