We dare to dream of a Milwaukee where all residents have the freedom to thrive.

The African American Roundtable (AART) is an assembly of people led by and serving Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Black community. AART is a transformative organization dedicated to the liberation of Black individuals through the power of organized, nurtured leadership. As Milwaukee’s political home for Black people, AART fosters a safe, engaging environment where Black people can be their authentic selves and actively participate in creating systemic change.

Empowering Our Communities

We know that empowered communities are unstoppable communities. Through our Leadership Development Cohort and other community initiatives, we are cultivating the next generation of leaders in Milwaukee.

Organizing for Change

We are pushing for radical change in our communities and know that one of the best ways to get it is through organizing. We are fighting for a Milwaukee where all residents have the power to thrive through adequate employment, housing, health care and violence prevention.

Showing Our Power

We are community leaders, activists and changemakers. We are stronger together and know that when we fight, we win. We regularly collaborate with groups and individuals to push Milwaukee forward.
