As we conclude 2023, each one bring one

As we near the end of 2023 and the start of 2024, I want to thank you for coming along on this journey with the African American Roundtable.

When we set out to nurture Black leaders and build power in service of Black liberation, we knew that the task ahead wouldn’t be easy. We’re fighting against powerful, racist systems like policing and the illustration of white supremacy that must be dismantled in order for our communities to truly thrive.

As you may know, we’ve recently launched our Each One, Bring One fundraising campaign. What this means is, when you support AART with your financial contributions, encourage someone you know to do the same. In other words, bring someone else along with you on your journey of support.

If you’re interested in donating, you can do so here. Then, share the following message on your social media channels. “Each One Bring One. Donate to AART today! https://bit.ly/DONATEAART

As we work to build a joyful, political home in Milwaukee, know that Each One Bring One can apply to every facet of our work. Interested in volunteering with our organization? Each one bring one. Want to attend one of our evening meetings? Each one bring one. In need of political education training to become empowered to create change in your community? Each one bring one.

If you would like to know more about the work we’ll be doing in 2024, and how you can fit in, click here to check out our Three-Year Strategic Plan.

I want to remind you of the quote, “When we fight, we win.” The battle is far from over, but I’m convinced that victory will be ours.

Practice joy, get rest and see you in the new year!
